We have had another very successful year of Work Experience with students accessing a wide range of opportunities. They included Hilltop Garage, the Derby County shop. a Hairdressers, the Derby Co-op store, offices at The Roundhouse College, an Animal Rescue centre, Derby Cathedral Centre Cafe and Derby Dance.

Two students from Year 14 spent time running a Cafe at Alternatives and we were delighted when one of our other forthcoming leavers became a Clerical Assistant at Swadlincote Learning Centre. She carried out a variety of tasks on a weekly basis, eventually working and transporting herself independently.

It is a measure of the attitude and behaviour of our students when we are given the chance to revisit and continue to expand the range of opportunities we access.
