The Residential Unit provides an extended school day for all children who it is felt would benefit from a structured social and educational environment.

Staff in residence work closely with classroom staff to ensure continuity of care and education for every child as part of the 24 hour curriculum.

Students access the provision by means of a part time (2 day) placement or a full time (4 day) placement.

Submissions for placements are made each year to a Residential Referral Panel comprising representatives from all placing authorities, the Head-teacher and Residential Head of Care.

Activitiespotato

We seek to offer all our young people a full range of suitable activities within the school provision and where possible within the community.

Activities are age appropriate, designed to encourage the degree of independence of which the young person is capable and to promote the development of good relationships with their peers and others with whom they come into contact.

Consistent with protecting them from harm we encourage freedom of movement and offer appropriate support to enable access to activities of their choice.
